Weekly Meeting Times
Sunday Mornings: 10:30am
Middle School students gather every Sunday morning for snacks, games, fellowship, teaching, worship, and small groups. We name this time Awaken as we hope students not only wake up from sleep but more importantly are awaken to God's plan for them. Our teaching covers a wide range of topics from the fundamental elements of our faith to practical application of our faith in our daily lives. This year our teaching is focusing on how The Gospel is the common thread woven throughout the entire bible. Our goal is to help students read, understand, and apply the truth of Scriptures and grow their relationship with Jesus and make their faith their own. After each lesson, the students divide into small groups by grade and gender to further discuss the lesson and how to apply it to their lives as well as develop relationships with each other.
On Sunday mornings, High School Students participate in our church wide philosophy of Worship 1, Serve 1. This means high school students worship in "big church" one service and then serve the church body during another service. We believe this helps our older students connect to the greater church family while actively engaging and applying their faith through service. High School students are invited back for a time of discipleship Sunday afternoons and Wednesday nights.
Sunday Nights: 4:30-5:30pm in host homes
Our Sunday evening High School Bible Study time for High School Students is called Engage and is designed to help students engage in each of Rivertree’s three G’s: Gather, Grow, and Go. Each month we provide a variety of opportunities for students to experience the 3 G’s by engaging Christ, Community, and Culture through in depth bible studies, service projects in the community, and fun outreach events both on and off campus. We believe Engage is a great way for high school students to begin implementing each of the three G’s into their life.
Wednesday Nights: 6:00-8:00pm in The Treehouse
We know students are bombarded with challenging messages every week, so Wednesday nights are designed specifically for students to come and recharge. Students in grades 6-12 come for dinner at 6:00pm and enjoy free time playing games in our rec field or inside. At 6:30pm, students gather for a time of games, worship, and an extended time in small groups (called student life groups) led by our awesome team of adults. Wednesday nights are a great place to plug in, grow relationships with God and with others.
