  • Ministry of Ordinary Places (Waking Up to God's Goodness Around You) by Shannan Martin
For Christ-followers living in an increasingly complicated world, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and unsure of how to live a life of intention and meaning. Where do we even begin?

Shannon Martin offers a surprisingly simple answer: uncover the hidden corners of our cities and neighborhoods and invest deeply in the lives of people around us. She walks us through her own discoveries about the vital importance of paying attention, as well as the hard but rewarding truth about showing up and committing for the long-haul, despite the inevitable encounters with brokenness and uncertainty. With transparency, humor, heart-tugging storytelling, and more than a little personal confession, Martin shows us that no matter where we live or how much we have, as we learn what it is to be with people as Jesus was, we'll find our very lives. The details will look quiet and ordinary, and the call will both exhaust and exhilarate us. But it will be the most worth-it adventure we will ever take.

    Dates: Tuesdays, July 2-July 30
    Time: 9:00am
    Where: Hampton Cove Chick-fil-a
Materials: Book is available on Amazon.

  • She’s Still There (Rescuing the Girl in You) by Chrystal Evans Hurst
What happens when a woman looks at herself in the mirror, realizes she no longer recognizes the person staring back at her? What does she do when she sees that, somehow, her life has drifted away from all her original hopes, dreams, or plans?

In this 6-week DVD led study, Chrystal Evans Hurst, sister of Priscilla Shirer, looks at where we are in our life, where we may have gotten off track and how we’re trying to recapture the peace in the midst of hard seasons. There is a call to focus on the promise of God’s truth for our future. Chrystal talks about the gifts we have been given by God, how we can use them for the Lord and how we can connect with who God created us to be while we honor God with our lives.  “Even if our road is rough and our story is messy, we are a masterpiece that is simply a work in progress.”

Dates: Wednesdays, June 12-July 24 (off July 3)

    Where: 4831 Cove Creek Drive
